As the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, the American Legion is devoted to mutual helpfulness, and is committed to:

  • mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities,

  • advocating patriotism and honor,

  • promoting strong national security,

  • continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.

                                WILLIAM P STALLINGS POST 126

​

The William Paul Stallings American Legion Post 126 was named for the only Perquimans County native killed in World War I. The post, located at 111W. Academy Street in Hertford, NC, was organized in 1941 and the Post has been in continuous operation since then.
